Allegro X PCB High-Speed plug-in

The application of some standard advanced interfaces such as DDR3, DDR4, PCI Express, and USB 3.0 is becoming increasingly widespread, and a series of related electrical rules and constraints need to be added to PCB design.

Allegro X PCB Designer can quickly and easily add some advanced interface constraints through the "High Speed" module option. It provides a large number of electrical rules to ensure that PCB design meets the specifications of these advanced interfaces. In addition, users are allowed to extend high-speed rules.

The High Speed module allows users to establish designs based on the topology of the signal. The topology of a signal includes some wiring parameters and rules, such as placing the end resistor of a signal close to the driver or receiver. If the topology of the signal and the related topology rules are uncertain, the rule driven PCB design system provides feedback through the rule manager to ensure the problem is resolved as quickly as possible.
